KORG Filter Ark 1.0.4 for Mac

KORG Filter Ark 1.0.4 for Mac

Filter Ark is a powerful and deep filtering and creative sound design plugin that opens a new dimension to sound design. For decades, the KORG Collection series has recreated iconic instruments using proprietary Component Modeling Technology (CMT), carefully preserving the character of entire generations of synthesizers.

Filter Ark builds on this foundation and places the filter at the very center of the creative process, combining precise replicas of legendary vintage circuits with brand-new modern designs.

The main strength of the plugin is the ability to simultaneously use and flexibly combine up to four different filters.

You can build complex processing chains, blend classic analog coloring with futuristic digital algorithms, and make the sound constantly shift in space. Thanks to an advanced modulation system, including LFOs, a tracking envelope module, and a built-in step sequencer, the instrument allows you to create incredible dynamics, volume, and expression that go far beyond conventional filters.

• Four independent filter modules. The plugin allows you to combine up to four legendary filters simultaneously, opening up access to the creation of unique sonic textures that were previously unavailable in a single interface.

• Era-inspired blending and flexible routing. Easily layer iconic vintage KORG filters or mix them with new modern processing types to create complex and evolving signal chains.

• Powerful modulation system. Built-in low frequency oscillators (LFOs) and an Envelope Follower module allow you to bring static tracks to life, adding rhythmic movement and sensitively responding to performance dynamics.

• Built-in step sequencer. A dedicated internal step controller lets you program precise, detailed, and tempo-synchronized filter parameter changes, transforming simple pads or noises into complex rhythmic patterns.

• Unlimited sound design space. The tool is ideal for adding depth, movement, and unique character to any element of the mix from electronic synths and tight bass to vocal tracks and transition effects.

▎Version 1.0.0

• Added CMT (Component Modeling Technology) accurate reproduction of classic and modern Korg filters.

• Introduced multiple filter types from different Korg synthesizer series in one plugin.

• Added parameters to control sharpness, frequency and filtering character for fine-tuning the sound.

• Optimized interface – modern design with visualization of filter characteristics for quick work.

• Reduced CPU consumption – optimized simulation architecture for working with multiple instances.

KORG Filter Ark 1.0.4: Refining a New Era of Filter Design

Launched at NAMM 2026 as part of the KORG Collection lineup, Filter Ark quickly stood out as a creative filter plugin unlike anything else in KORG’s software catalog. Announced ahead of NAMM 2026, it brought together a range of vintage and modern filters into one versatile plugin for macOS and Windows, letting producers combine up to four different filters at once. Version 1.0.4 arrives as a focused maintenance update, polishing the experience rather than adding new features.

A Deep Well of Classic Filter Character

Filter Ark builds on KORG’s Component Modeling Technology, the same approach used to recreate the company’s most celebrated instruments, and puts the filter itself at the center of the creative process. At its core are faithful recreations of legendary filter circuitsnfrom the aggressive drive of the MS-20 to the smooth sweep of the Polysix, the warmth of the miniKORG 700s, and the sharp resonance of the ARP Odyssey each modeled with its original interface intact.

Stacking and Modulating Filters

What sets Filter Ark apart is its routing flexibility. Users can chain up to four filters simultaneously using series, parallel, and feedback routing, going well beyond what a typical single-band EQ or basic filter plugin offers. A flexible modulation system rounds things out, including a morphable LFO, an Envelope Follower with side-chain input, a customizable Step Sequencer, and a Random Generator giving sound designers plenty of ways to add movement and evolving texture to a patch. Curated presets with pre-assigned macro controls also make it approachable for users who want dramatic results without deep sound-design knowledge.

What’s Fixed in 1.0.4

This release focuses purely on stability: manual access from the app menu now works correctly, sample files loaded into IR and Spectrum Tracer play back properly, envelope and random modulation waveforms run more smoothly, and Filter List sorting has been improved. No new filter types or features are included in this patch.

Requirements and Pricing

Filter Ark runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, needs at least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended), and around 2 GB of free disk space. It’s distributed through KORG Software Pass and requires a KORG ID account, with a free 20-minute-per-session demo available. Standalone pricing sits around $99, and the plugin is also bundled in KORG Collection 6 for existing owners.
