Cuphead is a run-and-gun action game developed by Studio MDHR. It’s famous for its hand-drawn 1930s cartoon art style, watercolour backgrounds, and original big band jazz soundtrack. The game puts you through a series of brutal multi-phase boss battles as Cuphead or his brother Mugman trying to repay a debt to the Devil. It’s tough, but every death feels fair, and the satisfaction of finally beating a boss is hard to match.

Version 1.3.3 is a post-DLC patch released after The Delicious Last Course expansion came out. That DLC added a whole new island, a new playable character called Ms. Chalice, new bosses, new weapons, and new charms. This patch focuses entirely on fixing the bugs that came with it.

What’s Fixed in 1.3.3

The biggest fix is for the DLC’s final boss, which was getting stuck in certain animations and refusing to progress to the next phase. The same issue affected Esther Winchester and occasionally Sally Stageplay as well all three are now fixed. Ms. Chalice’s Super Art II and Cuphead/Mugman’s Super Art II were not working correctly after the final boss phase 1-2 transition that’s been fixed too. Several other Ms. Chalice-specific bugs were addressed: she was staying active in levels even after removing the Astral Cookie charm, players could equip other charms while still playing as her, and her jumping parry collision wasn’t working properly near certain ground surfaces. A bug in the King of Games Queen fight was allowing cannonballs to spawn after the player died. The Hearty achievement was adjusted to unlock more reliably. Various audio and sound effect tweaks were made throughout the DLC, and a number of typos in the DLC credits were corrected. Mac Updater
